Large forestry vehicles often run at high operating temperatures and are full of highly flammable liquids, oils and hydraulic fluids. The likelihood of fire in this area is also increased by the large quantities of chopping debris, which builds up during operation. If left unchecked, this can enter the engine bay and engine belly. Worse still, in the event of an emergency, the height of the operator's platform on many machines makes escape difficult.
