Summary of 2011
This year has been extremely busy for Ardent; we have seen a soaring demand for commodities; which has lead to a definite rise in mining exploration both in the UK and Internationally. We have heard from several of our customers that production of machines cannot keep up with demand, and the lead time on certain models is 2 or more years! This truly demonstrates how buoyant the Heavy equipment industry is, and how much potential there is to build new relationships, and show why we are a world leading supplier of Fire Suppression Systems.
Our ground presence in Ghana and Tanzania has allowed us to penetrate new markets in Africa, and provide extended support to our existing customers. As part of our global initiative we have added Ardent France to our portfolio of subsidiary companies, we hope this depot will enjoy the same success and give us the opportunity to extensively explore the French market. Lead Engineer; John Swinton, who is overseeing operations in France says 'We look forward to building the business here from Colmar; I see so much potential for the year ahead. It's exciting times for Ardent and It's good to see all our hard work is paying off'.
As well as our international success, the UK market is going from strength to strength with an increasing amount of our customers choosing to take out our service contracts, which enables us to provide the best after-care solutions. We have noticed a rise in waste management companies in the UK this year. We put this down to a growing recycling culture and government legislation being used to increase and maintain the demand for recycled materials.
Plans for 2012
Our plans for 2012 are to grow the company with our existing customers whilst also focusing on inorganic growth and delivering exacting standards to new territories around the world.
