At Gottwald we take health and safety very seriously and as a result, when a customer asks for fire protection, our cranes are fitted with the latest systems from Ardent.
Ardent has worked closely with us for twelve years fitting and installing Ansul A101 dry powder and wet chemical fire suppression equipment into our cranes. These systems are completely automated and include additions such as sirens, beacons, engine stops and battery isolation. Ardent has also ensured the systems are fully integrated to our computer systems and, if necessary, can be triggered from ground level.
As experts in fire protection of vehicle, plant and many other solutions, Ardent offer a complete package from initial enquiry to the conclusion of an installation. The company conducts a site visit then designs the system in-house, makes a specification and provides this to the client along with a quotation, flow calculation and maintenance contract. Once the quotation is agreed, an engineer goes to site to fit the system and will then return for routine six monthly maintenance visits. A typical system fitted to a Gottwald crane will, apart from a major overhaul, remain in situ for the total life of the crane.
Ardent prides itself on supplying the very best fire extinguishing systems being the exclusive UK distributor for the Ansul A101 fire suppression system. It has built a reputation on providing a unique service orientated package combined with expert technical and product knowledge and it is this which has won the company worldwide acclaim.
