Tilbury Container Services (TCS)

At Ardent we value the importance of good customer relations. Part of the reason we are able to provide such a great service is because we understand what you, the customer needs.

Last week our sales managers; Mark Bain and Daniel Brunt visited Tilbury Container Services(TCS), in Essex.  TCS is jointly owned by 3 of the largest port operators; DP World, Associated British Ports, and Forth Ports.  This massive container terminal has its own dedicated rail and feeder links to all major commercial centres in the UK andbeyond.

Mark Bain Says "Its hard to comprehend how big the machines on this site are, we were taken to the top of a straddle handler,which is able to stack containers 4 levels high, and lift up to 60 tons. I have a lot of respect for the operators at the top of these machines, especially as they are suspended in a glass box. I may have to work up some courage before attempting the top of a Super-Post Panamax crane which is 1050ft high though! Site visits are a great way to meet in person with our customers, it allows me to appreciate their onsite culture, and to pass back important information to our operations department who organise installations and servicing"
