Each month we introduce one of our vehicle fire suppression team members. For our customers who regularly speak to the team, it puts a face to the voice and shows the range of individuals that make Ardent. This month we interview our experienced Key Account Manager, Fred Dulwich.
What does your role involve?
Managing Ardent key accounts across the UK.
Where do you feel you make the biggest contribution at Ardent?
I am our customers’ first port of call when looking for new fire suppression systems for mobile plant and I help to tailor the best solution for their applications. This can be anything from 1t forklifts within warehouses to 200t excavators in mining applications, finding the best and most cost-effective solutions to keep machines and operators safe 365 days a year.
Which Ardent value do you most identify with and why?
Do the right thing. We pride ourselves on providing fit for purpose solutions to vehicle fires and supplying quality suppression options to our client base. We will not sacrifice that quality in order to make sales with inadequate solutions. That is a vitally important aspect of a business providing safety critical equipment.
What drew you to Ardent originally?
The wide variety of industries that we supply systems into and the global reputation the business holds. Every day brings new site visits and new challenges and this makes for a very interesting role!
Do you have a guilty pleasure?
Disney and Pixar films!
What would your superpower be?
Foresight to predict the future and know what is around the corner.
When you were young what did you want to be when you grew up?
A footballer or a policeman.
What do you love doing outside of work?
Watching and playing cricket, I try to get to a few test matches and ODIs every summer around the country and would love to go on an Ashes tour in Australia.
